Disable Crash Reporting in Ubuntu

Every now and then I get the same popup about something crashing in Ubuntu 16.04.

You can hit cancel or send report to Ubuntu.

If you look at the details of the report sometimes it’s just TMI.

As seen here. Follow this to disable crash reporting.

sudo vim /etc/default/apport

Edit the file so it says enabled=0.

Then stop the service with:

sudo service apport stop
